Farm Burger
The farm to table movement is big business especially in certain metro Atlanta areas like Midtown and Decatur. The newest entrant to this sustainable way of life is Farm Burger, a burger joint with an organic twist, directly adjacent to another farm to table establishment, Watershed.
A Tuesday lunch found crowds, communal tables and some serious beef. A burger purist, I opted for a medium burger, with lettuce, tomatoes and pickles. After all the hype I wanted to be able to TASTE the meat which according to their website is sourced from farms throughout the southeast. I was not disappointed, the meat was well cooked, charred ever so slightly, juicy and FRESH. No frozen patties here. Coupled with a huge bucket of hand-cut fries, it was just the thing for a quick and guilt free lunch.
Not much else on the menu which to me is a plus considering how diluted a lot of establishments make their brand by offering a bit much in the name of diversity. Farm Burger is about simple eating- burgers, floats, fries, onion rings, chili, tons and tons of toppings, all from the bounty of local farms. YUM!
